Ingredients

 ½ cup diced onion
 1 scotch bonnet chili
 2 cloves garlic
 ½ cup coconut
 ½ cup curry leaves
 ½ tsp roasted cumin seeds
 ½ tsp black pepper corns
 1 cup dried red chilies
 ¼ cup diced green mango
 1 tsp Salt
 2 tbsp Water

Directions

Lonumirus is a condiment best enjoyed with Garudhiya and rice – but can complement any meal.

Toast the coconut, cumin and pepper corns in a skillet for 2 – 3 minutes

Add the dried chilies and keep toasting until the coconut pieces turn a golden brown

Put the dried chilies, cumin and pepper in a grinder/food processor blend coarsely

Add all the other ingredients and blend for about 2 – 3 minutes, stopping at regular intervals to check the consistency and add water if necessary.
